QR Code Generator — free, with logo, color & SVG export
Turn a URL, a piece of text, WiFi details or a contact card into a QR code with live preview and instant download. QR Cat lets you drop a logo in the center, change the foreground color or add a gradient, pick a dot style, and export both high-res PNG and vector SVG (sharp at any print size). Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing uploaded, nothing tracked. These are static codes: they never expire, no watermark, no sign-up.

Why use QR Cat's QR Code Generator?
- Every type in one place: URL, text, WiFi and vCard — no jumping between sites.
- Pretty and scannable: adding a logo auto-raises error correction; dot shapes and gradients make it look better than the plain black-and-white free sites.
- Vector export for free: get SVG that stays sharp at any size — many free sites give you only low-res PNG or lock SVG behind a paywall.
- Generated locally in your browser — your content never touches our servers, and we don't track scans.
- Free forever, never expires: these are static codes — your content lives inside the image itself, not on our servers. Even if this site shut down, your printed codes keep working — unlike the sites that disable your code when a trial ends and hold it for ransom.
- No watermark, no sign-up: download and go. We don't stamp a logo on your code or make you hand over an email first.
Frequently asked questions
Will my QR code expire? Do I have to pay?
No expiry, free forever. QR Cat makes static codes — your URL or text is encoded into the image itself, with no server redirect in between. Even if this site goes away, the codes you've printed keep scanning. That's the core difference from the 'free trial, then disabled, then pay-to-restore' sites.
Is my content (URL, WiFi password, contact info) uploaded or logged?
No. The code is computed entirely in your browser with JavaScript; nothing is sent to a server and we don't track scans. For sensitive data like WiFi passwords and personal contacts, local generation is the safe way.
PNG or SVG — which should I pick?
For the web, chat and social, use PNG (a ready-to-use bitmap). For posters, business cards, banners and packaging, use SVG (vector, sharp at any size). For anything large-format, always SVG.
Will it still scan with a logo on it?
Yes. When you add a logo we automatically raise the error-correction level (up to H, which tolerates ~30% obstruction), so the center covered by your logo is recoverable. Keep the logo under ~1/4 of the code and leave the quiet zone around it.
Can I use any colors?
You can change the foreground and add a gradient, but keep strong contrast (dark modules on a light background). Very light or inverted codes often fail to scan; QR Cat's live preview lets you confirm it still scans as you tweak.
